About
In autumn the Munich Show is the big international meeting place for the trade in minerals, fossils, gemstones and rough stones: around 1,250 exhibitors from 68 countries on 55,000 square metres in five halls of Messe München. Trade buyers, dealers and processors find a cross-section of the world's supply; collectors and curators look for new pieces from the best-known names in the business. Special exhibitions, a lecture programme and activities for children and families complete the show.
Thursday and Friday are trade days (registration required); on Saturday and Sunday the show is open to everyone.
Getting there: underground line U2 to Messestadt West (Entrance West), about 25 minutes from the central station.
Parking: car parks P-S10 to P-S12, access via Gate 9 on Willy-Brandt-Allee.
Admission: day ticket €20, two-day ticket €30, from 2 pm €15; reduced (students, seniors, people with disabilities) €14; family ticket (two adults, up to three children) €48 per day. Children up to and including 5 free. Reduced and family tickets at the box office only.
