About
Since 1994 the Mineralientage in the Nuremberg metropolitan region have delighted collectors, jewellery lovers and the curious. At the Ofenwerk, selected international exhibitors show a wide variety of minerals, fossils and meteorites – rare collector's pieces as well as decorative natural treasures, for beginners and experienced collectors alike.
There are gemstones, cut treasures and jewellery too: designers and goldsmiths show their work, from necklaces and rings to Akoya, South Sea and Tahitian pearls, complemented by bead strands, findings and materials for jewellery makers. Crystals, geodes, rough and healing stones, fossils from around the world, geology tools, books, sorting boxes and geode cracking complete the offer.
Getting there: underground line U2 to Herrnhütte, then about 500 m on foot.
Parking: there is no parking at the Ofenwerk; spaces on Schafhofstraße opposite the Nexans company and in the side streets, about 100 m away.
Admission: adults €7, reduced €5.50 (pensioners, severely disabled people, students and pupils from 12), children aged 6 to 11 €3; two-day ticket €10, reduced €8, children €4.50.
