Write for Mineralica

Mineralica is edited in Munich and read worldwide. Every article appears in English and in German, in print and online, and every new issue is presented at the major shows: Tucson, Denver, Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, and Munich.

What we publish

Field reports, locality features, collection portraits, and interviews. Minerals are the core. Fossils, meteorites, and gemstones belong in the magazine when the story meets the same standard.

What we ask for

Each piece is translated, laid out in two languages, and printed next to full-page photography. That sets the bar for text and pictures alike: a story collectors have not read before, told precisely, with photographs that can carry a spread.

• Text as a Word or Pages file, in English or German. We translate it into the other language.
• Photographs as separate files in full resolution, each with mineral, locality, size, collection, and photographer.
• Maps and sketches are welcome. We usually redraw them in the style of the magazine.

How we work with authors

You receive the layout as a PDF, our questions directly in the layout, and three copies of the finished issue. We agree on the fee and the rights before you start writing.
