The Georgius Agricola Verein Mainz holds the Mineralien- und Fossilientage Ober-Olm every year on the second weekend of October in the Ulmenhalle: minerals, fossils, gemstones and geoscience topics, with information stands, special presentations and activities for all ages – for collectors, experts and families alike.
For children: anyone who finds stones marked with letters or colours beforehand and can spell their name with them wins a prize at the fair.
