About
The Mineralenbeurs Hoorn takes place twice a year. Expert exhibitors show gemstones, fossils, rocks, shells, meteorites and jewellery. There are demonstrations such as geode cracking and gem cutting, and activities for children run by the Amathysta association from Purmerend. Food and drinks are served downstairs – with a view of the Markermeer.
Getting there: the railway station is within walking distance.
Parking: there is plenty of parking nearby; parking in the town centre is always paid.
Admission: €6, children aged 5 to 12 €3.
