Edel­stein­schleifer- & Gold­schmie­de­markt Idar-Oberstein

Every year in early August around 50 exhibitors show traditional craftsmanship with gemstones and jewellery in the lower pedestrian zone of Oberstein – around Marktplatz and Museumsplatz and along Hauptstraße: geodes, minerals and gemstones, gold and silver jewellery. Changing demonstrations by the different crafts show how a piece of jewellery is made; the town's street theatre festival runs at the same time. A free shuttle runs from the trade fair car park.
