Amethyst

1.70.60.5 cm
Murzinka district, Prigorodny District, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia
300.00 $

Murzinka is renowned for its exceptional topaz specimens, but few are aware that amethyst has also been discovered in the area surrounding this famous mine. Today, only a handful of historic amethyst specimens from Murzinka are known, with most housed in museums.

The offered set of three scepter amethysts, accompanied by a beautifully handwritten label, represents a rare and significant find from this region.
Size is for the biggest crystal.

Note: The label mentiones the Watikha deposit in Alapaewskii Region as the most exact locality. Murzinka previously was the name of the whole district.
