Details

Established in 1946, the The Tucson Gem and Mineral Show (TGMS) began as a small group passionate about mineral collecting and lapidary. They aimed to cultivate knowledge and appreciation for this burgeoning hobby. Today, the Society's flagship event, the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, embodies that initial vision.
The Tucson Gem and Mineral Show has become the world's largest, oldest, and most prestigious gem and mineral show. Since the 1970s, it has enjoyed international recognition, pioneering the concept of bringing together hobbyists, the general public, and curators/professionals for a shared experience of discovery and discussion.
The TGMS show is just one facet of the vast Tucson Gem, Mineral & Fossil Showcase, a three-week extravaganza held every winter. Over 65,000 visitors from across the globe flock to Tucson to participate in this unique event. Imagine 40+ locations throughout the city transformed into marketplaces overflowing with dazzling gemstones, captivating minerals, and fascinating fossils. It's a treasure hunter's dream and a geologist's paradise!
The Show offers a multi-faceted experience. It's a portal to the past, showcasing rare and beautiful geological wonders. It's a global journey where you can discover treasures from every corner of the earth. And it's a thrilling treasure hunt where you might just find that one-of-a-kind piece to add to your collection.
