Slovenia

Slovenia's classic locality is Mežica in the Karawanken Mountains, where lead and zinc were mined from 1665 until the 1990s and the oxidized ores yielded wulfenite. Idrija, one of the largest mercury mines ever worked, adds cinnabar.
