Xianghualing

The Xianghualing tin-polymetallic ore field lies in Linwu County near Chenzhou, in southern Hunan. Here a granite intruded limestone and formed skarns, greisens and veins with tin, tungsten, lead, zinc and beryllium. Among its mines are Xianghualing and Xianghuapu. Since the mid-1990s the field has supplied green fluorite to the specimen market, often with calcite or quartz. It is also the type locality of hsianghualite, a rare beryllium silicate named after it.
