Los Lamentos

The Los Lamentos Mountains rise from the desert of northern Chihuahua, in Ahumada Municipality. Small lead and zinc mines in their limestone, best known among them the Erupción or Ahumada mine, are the source of their wulfenite.
Los Lamentos wulfenite forms thick orange to red-orange tablets, often stacked or set on calcite.
