Origin

Many classic Hungarian specimens come from mines that lie in Romania and Slovakia today, among them Felsőbánya, Kapnik and Selmecbánya. Within today's borders, Rudabánya is known for copper and iron minerals, the Mátra Mountains for their ore veins, and Csordakút for mellite from its brown coal.
