France has a long collecting tradition: pink fluorite and smoky quartz from the Mont Blanc massif, azurite from Chessy near Lyon, silver and arsenic minerals from Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines in Alsace, and pyromorphite from Les Farges in the Corrèze.
